Batley District covers the Batley area in the Calder Division  

County of West Yorkshire South and

North East England region of Girlguiding UK


In our district we have 11 active units:

· 3 Rainbow Units - 5-7 year olds  

· 4 Brownie Units - 7-10 year olds

· 3 Guide Units - 10-14 year olds  

· 1 Senior Section Unit – 14 – 26 year olds



Girlguiding UK provides a safe, girl-only space to make friends, have fun and explore activities, issues and opportunities available to girls today. It enables girls and young women to make a difference and empowers them to think for themselves and make decisions.

Girlguiding UK is the United Kingdom's largest voluntary organisation for girls and young women, with about 575,000 members including about 65,000 trained volunteer adult Leaders.
