Guides

Guides are between 10 and 14 years old and their programme is called Go for it,

it’s filled with new skills to learn, challenges and fun activities.

Guides can go on sleepovers, holidays and camps,

they can also work for a permit to go camping on their own.

Guides often work in small groups called Patrols and

they can choose their own activities as a

patrol or join together with the others patrols.

Every year a Guide can earn a Challenge badge,

showing they’ve taken a full part in the life of their unit.

There are also badges for all kinds of activities and challenges.

The highest award a Guide can achieve is the Baden Powell Challenge,

which includes a residential Baden Powell Challenge Adventure.

Guides also have their very own website - Click here to see it

When Guides are 14 they can join Senior Section.
